If you didn't grow up reading about or watching Winnie the Pooh cavort with his crew in the Hundred Acre Wood - I pity you.  The characters and stories created by A.A. Milne in the 1920's have lived on in books, cartoons, toys, children's clothes and so much more.  Today is Winnie the Pooh day, and you can celebrate the entire experience with the Shreve Memorial Library.

KTBS reports that several branches of the library will host readings of the classic series, crafts, videos and visits from the silly old bear himself!  Pooh and his friends will be in attendance for photos, hugs, and probably a bit of hunny.

January the 18th has been designated as the official celebration of the beloved stuffed bear in honor of his creator's birthday.  Find out more about the schedule of events, and what to expect by visiting the Shreve Memorial Library's official page.
