Chicken Charlie’s Fried Cereal: Trix and Cinnamon Toast Crunch…Yummy Fair Food

It has finally arrived...Chicken Charlie's gives you: Fried Cereal. You knew it was just a matter of time, after all, every time the fair comes around we hear about the latest deep-fried something, whether it’s Twinkies, Oreos or Kool Aid. Well, this summer, and this year it… cereal. Deep-fried cereal -- made with Trix and Cinnamon Toast Crunch. If you are wanting to be the first of your friends to try it, you will have to make a trip to the  San Diego Fair this month.

This sinful confection is drizzled with syrup and topped with a few pieces of cereal. And so far, it’s not exactly a big hit. "Now, when I was trying the deep-fried Cinnamon Toast Crunch, the pool of grease in the bottom of the basket made me clutch my heart a little. The doughy ball of greasy cereal wasn't bad, but it definitely isn't something I'd go out of my way to buy,” one reviewer wrote.

Just so you have someone to blame for your clogged arteries, you don't have to look any father than Charlie Boghosian, owner of Chicken Charlie’s. In case you were wondering why Charlie is such an authority on unique fair food, he is the creator of last year's deep-fried Kool Aid balls and deep-fried Girl Scout cookies.

Call me crazy, but I thought, Trix and Cinnamon Toast Crunch were just fine with milk, but when you add them to a vat of grease, it does have a strange appeal.
