Children’s Miracle Network Program Spotlight: The Birth Place

The Birth Place, funded by Children's Miracle Network, provides care for you and your family through every step of the delivery process.

If you're expecting, Christus Health Shreveport-Bossier is there to deliver! It is because of Children's Miracle Network that Christus can offer The Birth Place. This is a new model of maternity care that is completely centered around family. The focus is on the need of mothers, newborns and their families.

When a family is preparing for a new baby, there are many decisions and choices that must be made. Choosing a hospital can often be the biggest decision of them all. The Birth Place offers a new family-centered approach that embraces the concept that having a baby is a natural and miraculous event that is experienced and celebrated by the entire family. It's shared with the hospital, doctors and nurses.

At Christus, the staff caters to the individual needs of each woman so the delivery process is personalized. This is centered around the belief that the family should be together for every single special moment. The Birth Place offers complete privacy and comfort in a fully functional perinatal unit with labor, delivery, recovery and mother/baby care. Education and support is even provided for the entire family.

As a Miracle Maker, your $12 a month will go to the incredible programs like The Birth Place and will help mothers, newborns and their families right here in Shreveport-Bossier. That’s the beauty of CMN. Every dollar raised will stay right here to help those around us.

Others require constant care because they were born too early, or with a genetic disease. Regardless of why the kids are there, Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals always have their doors open."
