Christmas Decorations Out Already – Is It Too Early?

I can't believe that several local stores already have Christmas decorations out. Summer doesn't end until September 21st, but many retail outlets are gearing up for Christmas.

KVKI listeners called in to let us know that holiday items are up at Michaels, Hobby Lobby, Red Door Interiors and Ellis Pottery (just to mention a few). I don't think Christmas supplies are up at Target or Walmart yet, but expect that to happen any day now. And some listeners have already started or finished their Christmas shopping. This is just too early. Can we wait until October, maybe? I used to think we should wait until after Halloween, but I lost that battle.
