During Monday's work session, the City Council discussed the future of Shreveport Police Chief Alan Crump. Councilman Willie Bradford introduced a resolution calling for the removal of Crump. Bradford said that his resolution isn't political, he's worried about the safety of citizens in Shreveport. Bradford went on to say that he didn't even include Crump's recent shooting incident and that's more concerned with the overall lack of results and performance.

“My resolution is not political. My constituents want something done about the Wild Wild West culture that is escalating in the city,” said Councilman Bradford during the meeting.

However, before any real discussions on the subject could begin, the meeting was cut short when Councilman Jerry Bowman was rushed to the hospital with chest pains. Bowman was seen being stretchered out of the council meeting chambers. No updates have been given on his condition.

The resolution is expected to be discussed at today's meeting.
