Last week, this video was posted to YouTube claiming to show Bossier City Police officers arresting a man outside what looks to be K-Mart in Bossier City.  The video appears to show the officers insisting with the suspect to stop resisting arrest, to which the suspect and the person filming reply that he is not resisting. His non-compliance calls for multiple officers to attempt to subdue him.

There are some that will view this as police officers using excessive force to subdue the suspect. At certain points the officers can be seen punching the suspect and kneeing him in the head as he is on the ground.

The suspect's wife is videoing the entire incident and says, "He took a pair of shades...that's it. And they're treating him like this." We're sorry... last time we checked, shoplifting is shoplifting.

The question arises...how could this incident have been avoided?

One way to prevent acts like this from happening is quite cost effective: when an officer of the law gives you a command, follow it!

What are your thoughts on the situation?
