Cooling Center’s Add Weekend Hours In Light Of Incredible Heat
The City’s 15 ``cooling centers’’ are up and running – this time with extended Saturday and Sunday hours to help local residents beat the latest heat wave expected to have temperatures above 100 degrees for the next several days.
The stations are set up to provide cold beverages, including water, juices and teas, free of charge and served in air-conditioned comfort to those seeking relief. The juices and teas were donated last week by Eagle Distributing of Shreveport.
The hours of operation are listed below and include Saturday and Sunday.
