Fans of the local eatery the Cotton Boll were more than a little disappointed when the legendary diner closed its doors recently. But now there's reason to rejoice, because the eatery will be re-opening Wednesday under new ownership.

Seth Manly, owner of onthegodelivery.com,  completed the sale of the Fairfield Avenue spot from Leslie Mellor on Monday. He says the "new" Cotton Boll open for business on Wednesday.

Manly says the restaurant's hours will be the same and that the previous staff has been rehired.

The Cotton Boll first opened in the 1930s and moved its 1624 Fairfield Avenue location in 1976.
