Shreveport City Councilwoman Stephanie Lynch has some serious concerns about the Mayor's push for a sports complex at Cross Bayou.

The Mayor put the plan together as part of a package to try to lure the New Orleans Pelicans G-League team to town. But Lynch says there are many other priorities in our community.

Though Lynch voted for the initial proposal, she says that was a vote to "keep the ball rolling with the Pelicans and to keep us in the running." But she says she is skeptical about the city's ability to fund a sports complex. Lynch says the Shreveport Convention Center needs a new roof and that will cost at least $500,000. She says we are having trouble keeping up the facilities we already have, that she would be hard-pressed to support building a new one.
