UPDATE:

The missing woman from Benton was found around 1 p.m. today in the woods in the vicinity where her truck was found.  She is now being treated by medics.

ORIGINAL STORY:

Bossier Deputies are asking for help from the public in the search for a missing woman from Benton. The woman's truck was was found abandoned Tuesday morning.

39-year-old Amy Humphries from Benton was reported missing on Sunday.

Her truck was found off of Clark Cemetery Road by a cemetery worker as he was preparing for a funeral. The worker says when he first spotted the truck, it was being driven by a woman before it was abandoned.

Police are unsure if the woman last seen driving the truck is Humphries.

Family members said they last saw Humphries at her home in the 100 block of Highway 160 around 11 a.m. Saturday.

Eyewitnesses near the cemetary told detectives they saw a woman female get out of the truck and walk into the woods on Saturday.

A Bossier Sheriff’s Office K-9 bloodhound unit and detectives on ATVs are searching the area, and deployment of the drone (as weather permits) is being made to provide aerial surveillance.
