The Backstreet Boys have been nominate to receive a Grammy this year, and a new album out tomorrow! Did you miss this like I did?

I don't know which rock I was hiding under, but it came to my attention today the Backstreet Boys have been nominated for Best Pop Duo/Group Performance for their song, Don't Go Breaking My Heart, from their album DNA available tomorrow, Jan. 25.

It's been 17 years since their last nomination in 2001 for Shape of My Heart. In a recent interview US Weekly they remark on the changes in the industry.

“The industry has changed,” Kevin Richardson told US Weekly. “There’s so much content out there and the cycles are much faster; people have much shorter attention spans and we’re aware of that. I think the new generation of artists are keenly aware of that and they create content, create content, create content.”

They enlisted the help of two young artists to help with their latest single, Chances, Shawn Mendes nad Ryan Tedder of OneRepublic both helped pen the song.

Nick Carter adds, “And we’re thinking of that too. Just because we’ve been here 25 years and they’re the younger generation, doesn’t mean we can’t learn from them and learn from the industry itself. We’re definitely paying attention.”

The album, DNA, is available tomorrow.
