Disney Introduces First Latina Princess ‘Elena Of Avalor’ [VIDEO]

This time it seems to be for real – Disney is introducing its first Latina princess!

Her name is Elena of Avalor and happens to be Disney's first Hispanic Princess.

In a statement, Disney describes Princess Elena as "a confident and compassionate teenager in an enchanted fairy tale kingdom inspired by diverse Latin cultures and folklore."

Princess Elena is expected to make her debut in 2016 on a special episode of Disney Junior's hit preschooler series "Sofia the First."
