With school about to start in DeSoto Parish and Bossier, Caddo and Webster just a week or so later, everybody around the area has a chance to get our back to school clothes and more a little cheaper this weekend courtesy of the state of Louisiana. Below is the info you need as far as what’s tax free...and what's not.

Here are the basics for the annual tax-free weekend:
• No state sales tax on purchases purchases up to $2,500
• Excludes the purchase of taxable services, automobiles, and meals.
