UPDATE, July 21, 2016:  Two men are now dead following a shooting in the 3300 block of Bond Drive late yesterday morning.

Police say an ongoing family dispute allegedly led 49-year-old Jerry Jackson to shoot his 25-year-old stepson, Kendrick Brown, and 27-year-old Michael Dillard.

Brown was pronounced dead at the scene. Dillard was taken to University Health, where he later died from his wounds.

Jackson faces two counts of second degree murder.

UPDATE: Shreveport police say one of the victims in this morning's shooting on Bond Drive has died, and the other has been hospitalized.

The shooting stemmed from an argument between the shooter and the two victims. One man was pronounced dead at the scene. The other was taken to University Health with life-threatening wounds.

Police have the suspected shooter in custody. No names have been released so far.

ORIGINAL STORY:  Shreveport police are investigating a double-shooting that happened late this morning in the MLK neighborhood.

All we know so far is that two males were shot in the 3300 block of Bond Drive. More than a dozen police units are on the scene right now. They were called out just after 11:45 a.m.
