If you were listening this morning, you heard Dr. Maggio say he does not believe in any of the diet pills on the market today. He says: "they will artificially boost your metabolism, but that cause long term, harmful effects to your heart." Will diet pills ever go away? Dr. Maggio says that's not likely. "It's a multi-billion dollar industry and it will be around for a long time. I would like to see the AMA (American Medical Association) step in to regulate this industry, but that is not likely any time soon." It's up to you to be smart and realize that all of the promises might work in the short term, but eventually, "you will gain all the weight back, plus some."
