Drew Brees has had an amazing career. Despite being small for a quarterback and suffering a serious injury that nearly ended his career in 2005, Brees has amassed amazing stats, a ton of awards, won a Super Bowl, and turned the Saints into a threat to any NFL team.

And Sunday against the Green Bay Packers, the Ol' Gunslinger hit another major milestone. He became the 4th NFL quarterback in history to throw for 500+ Touchdowns (including Playoffs). He joins the elite company of Peyton Manning, Brett Favre and Tom Brady.

The 38 year old veteran may be closing in on the end of his career but he's not going quietly. Not only is he still setting NFL records but he's managed to lead a slightly better than average Saints team to a NFC South leading 4-2 record, putting them firmly in Playoff contention.

While it remains to be seen if the Saints can keep pulling out wins down the stretch, its obvious that Brees is still playing an extremely high level and wants to win. I don't know how more years Drew has left in him, so we should appreciate what the special player he is while he's still on the field in Black and Gold.
