Everybody has their specialty.  Maybe you aren't so swift on Medieval French rulers, but you are a whiz at the whole "round peg in round hole" thing.  You own that!

Everybody is a Genius. But If You Judge a Fish by Its Ability to Climb a Tree, It Will Live Its Whole Life Believing that It is Stupid

That's why I love college.  It's a place where you expand all of your horizons, and get to explore academic avenues that lead you to your career path. Now, there are more choices than ever.  That leads us to the latest offering from Bossier Parish Community College, Crappie University.  Not only can you learn the intricacies of Crappie Fishing (no joking, it really is a science), but you can learn from one of the best!

This is John Godwin.  You may remember him from Duck Dynasty, but this professional's expertise goes way deeper than a little showing out on television.  John's partner, Jay Stone is no slouch either. The pair won the 2015 Lake D’Arbonne Crappie Masters’ event, which qualified them for the national championship.  The pair will be joined by Barry Morrow, a retired school superintendent and wrestling coach, who is now a full-time crappie guide in Oklahoma and Missouri, as well as Steve Danna and Gary Dollahon.

Crappie University is an eight hour course that is broken down into four, two-hour night classes.   The $89 enrollment fee covers all course materials, including samples of crappie lures and jigheads.  Classes will be held at the Margaritaville in Bossier City starting January 31st, find out more here.
