It’s been almost two months since The BBC shelved an adaptation of Agatha Christie’s Ordeal by Innocence, owing to rape allegations against star Ed Westwick. Now, The BBC reveals that the miniseries will move forward after re-shooting the Gossip Girl star’s scenes with a new actor.

As Variety now confirms, the three-part series will go the All the Money in the World route of re-shooting Ed Westwick’s scenes with actor Christian Cooke. It was back in November that actress Kristina Cohen first accused Westwick of raping her three years prior, and the LAPD has since opened an investigation into the matter. Westwick continually denies any wrongdoing, but has also been accused of rape by actress Aurélie Wynn.

Prior to the allegations against Westwick, BBC One had initially scheduled its Ordeal By Innocence adaptation to air December 26 as part of the network’s Christmas lineup. Instead, the drama will re-shoot all of Westwick’s scenes later this month in Scotland, along with fellow cast members Bill Nighy, Anna Chancellor, Matthew Goode and Eleanor Tomlinson. Additionally, Westwick was shooting the second season of BBC comedy White Gold when the allegations first broke, and production remains suspended.

It isn’t clear how long Ordeal by Innocence re-shoots will take, but stay tuned for the latest in the meantime.
