A fire in the 1900 block of Michoud Street in the MLK community heavily damages a home.

Shreveport firefighters were called out just before 1 p.m. to the one-story brick home. Heavy smoke was coming from the front door and flames were visible from the back corner of the house. No one was inside at the time. It took fire crews about 30 minutes to extinguish the flames.
