Larry Reed and Raymond Morey have been friends for over 50 years. Larry's first car was a 1931 Ford Roadster that he got when he was 7. His dad had bought the car for Larry's sister. When his sister saw the Ford Roadster she said it was ugly and his dad tossed the keys to Larry. Since then, Larry has been hunting for car parts. Larry had a restoration shop for many years where he rebuilt old engines and has since retired and just plays with his own cars.

Larry and Raymond are gearing up for an epic road trip in a 1931 Model A Slant Windshield Sedan. They plan to get a bottle and fill it with water from the Pacific Ocean, and dump that water into the Atlantic Ocean. In turn, they'll fill up a bottle with water from the Atlantic Ocean to take back to the Pacific ocean. One of the many stops along the way happens to be in Shreveport. We should warn Larry and Raymond about our roads, but we figured it would ruin the element of surprise. We can't wait to greet Larry and Raymond, we may not have the best roads but our hospitality is second to none!

Larry Reed's wife Joyce is calling herself the Vagabond Widow. She is used to not seeing Larry on the weekends because he is always at different swap meets. Joyce recalls one of their dates when she realized her now husband had a first love. "In the 60's, while we were dating, the one time in my whole life I had my hair put up in a fancy hairdo. He showed up that night in a convertible model A and by the time we got to our destination instead of being the beauty I was hoping for, my hair was sticking every which way. Neither of us had ever laughed that hard."

Larry and Raymond have a added a few extras to help them out during their journey. Signals, oil gauges, temperature gauges, and a port to charge their phone are all commodities which were necessary for this epic road trip. Other than those add on's the Model A Ford is un-restored but mechanically perfect. Larry and Raymond will be starting in Santa Cruz, California and will be taking Route 66 to get to the Atlantic Ocean. On their way back to the Pacific Ocean they will make the stops in Louisiana and Shreveport. With the Model A topping out at 50 miles per hour we expect Larry and Raymond will be on the road for awhile. God speed gentlemen!
