Erin McCarty Goes Blonde for Operation Santa Claus

I have been a part of Operation Santa Claus since the beginning back in 1984. I've done some silly things to raise money to help local children. I've played in traffic, I've dressed like and elf and I've let people cover me with shaving cream for the cause. But this year, I suggested that I would go platinum blonde if we raised $1,000 dollars in just 12 hours.

Well some of my close friends (thanks Leslie, Tina and Becki) immediately chipped in to get this started. I feel the love. Then Robert J. Wright and his buddy Tommy Meaux each pitched in $100 each to get us closer to that goal. But within 5 minutes of mentioning this on the air, Dan Mobley with Terra Bella Landscaping  in Bossier City called immediately and chipped in the remaining $500 dollars to get us over the top.

So I went to see my dear friend, Grace Anne Blake at Avalon Hair Salon on Youree Drive and she worked her magic to take my mop of brown hair and turn it Marilyn Monroe blonde.

I have to remember it's all for the kids.
