Give for Good

The Community Foundation of North Louisiana will host its annual event, Give for Good, on Tuesday, May 5, featuring a full day of online giving to the 156 participating Shreveport-Bossier nonprofits.

The lineup of events include the following:

Morning

The Glen will have a donation station set up 6-8AM at Southern Maid Donuts, 1409 E. 70th Dr., inside Pierremont Plaza in Shreveport.

Lunch

Cohab will host Cinco de Cohab, 10AM-2PM, to celebrate Cohab's 5th anniversary and Give for Good Day. The celebration will take place in the Red River District under the Texas Street Bridge and feature food trucks from La Michocana, Lucky's Poboys, Jester Catering and Fleur de Creme in addition to Red River District favorites.

Give For Good Cookout at the Holy Angels' Gazebo, 10450 Ellerbe Road in Shreveport will include hamburgers and hot dogs, followed by a dance party.

Susan G. Komen will host a Pink Ribbon Popup, 11AM, at the Louisiana Boardwalk.

Happy Hour 

Ark-La-Tex Pregnancy Center Give For Good Block Party, 5-7PM, at the LearningCenter, 1205 South Pointe Parkway in Shreveport, will include tours of the center and feature multiple donation stations.

The Council on Alcoholism and Drug Abuse of Northwest Louisiana (CADA) and Breathe Yoga Shreveport will host "Breath With CADA," a vinyasa yoga event, 5:30-6:30PM at Betty Virginia Park. Water bottles and some yoga mats will be provided, but please bring a towel, just in case. Volunteers will be on hand to help with donations.

Pet Savers will be at The Fairfield Place Bed & Breakfast, 2221 Fairfield Ave. in Shreveport. They will host an Open House at 4:30PM, featuring live music, complimentary cocktails and hors d'oeuvres.

Robinson’s Rescue will host The Whole Enchihuahua 5:30-8:30PM at Marilynn's Place, 4041 Fern Ave. in Shreveport. Guests are invited to bring their "perro" and join Robinson's Rescue for a fiesta, dog walk and costume contest!

The YMCA will host a Dodgeball Free For All Tournament at 4PM. Grab some friends and come to the Broadmoor YMCA, 215 Carroll St. in Shreveport, for a fun and charitable experience.

Evening:

Pints for Paws at Great Raft Brewing, 1251 Dalzell St. in Shreveport, 4-9PM, will feature live music, Ki Mexico catering and donation stations. Pets are welcome outside which will include tents and tables.

Shreveport-Bossier Rescue Mission’s Birthday Fiesta will be 6-9PM on the rooftop of the Remington Suites Hotel, 220 Travis Street in downtown Shreveport.
