Senior Day at the Louisiana State Fair is Free
10 am to 3 pm in the Hirsch Coliseum in Shreveport
The fourth annual “Senior Day at the Louisiana State Fair” event will take place on Thursday, October 24, 2013 from 10 am to 3 pm in the Hirsch Coliseum located at 3701 Hudson Avenue in the Louisiana State Fair Grounds in Shreveport. This event is proudly presented by The Best of Times – senior newsmagazine and radio show and The State Fair of Louisiana.
Persons of all ages are invited to attend this event with FREE parking, FREE admission to the event, and FREE admission to the State Fair midway.
Though admission is FREE for this event – please help those in need by bringing one or more canned goods or non-perishable items to be donated to the Food Bank of Northwest Louisiana at the registration booth located inside of the main entrance of the Hirsch Coliseum.
There will be lots of fun, entertainment, prizes, and information — including State Fair Midway performers, musical entertainment from both choirs and soloists, presentations, games shows, free health screenings, poker rally contest, flu and pneumonia shots(limited number will be available), many giveaways , information from over 100 exhibitors, and over 150 door prizes will be given away. (Note: A Medicare card is required for “no charge” flu and pneumonia shots.)
Door prizes will be awarded to those lucky attendees who are eligible based upon visiting a minimum number of exhibitors. Persons must be in attendance to win door prizes. Also, an Apple Ipad will be awarded to that special door prize winner of the attendees who register at the AARP Louisiana exhibit booth. Other exhibitors will have door prize drawings.
In addition, attendees will be able to play TBT Poker Rally Contest between 10:00 am and 2:30 pm, where the 10 highest poker hand winners will be announced at 2:45 pm to win some fabulous prize packages. Prize winners must be present to win.
