The Battle on the Border - High School Football Showcase is coming Saturday, September 8, 2012.

This is the second high school football showcase to be played in Independence Stadium, the first time was in 2011.

This is an exciting sporting event highlighting some of the top high school football programs in the southern region and country.

Catch all the action at Independence Stadium in Shreveport, LA on Saturday, September 8, 2012.

The Battle on the Border - High School Football Showcase is sure to continue bringing wholesome athletic events to Independence Stadium and this region.

3:00 pm Game #1 C.E. Byrd High School vs. Marshall High School
7:00 pm Game #2 West Monroe High School vs. Calvary Baptist Academy

Musical entertainment will include The Roscoes, Windstorm Band, The Caravan Band, and Matthew Davidson Band. Bands will perform from a staged area located in the south end zone stands. During scheduled performances, football fans will be allowed to come onto designated areas of the south end zone field to listen and enjoy bands up close and personal.

The 1st Choice Personnel Family Fun Zone will feature inflatable games, fitness stations, face painting and cheerleader/spirit squad appearances from participating schools. The fun zone will be located on the north end zone football field. During scheduled fun zone activities, fans young and old will have this unique game day experience by participating in fun zone activities directly on field level.

$10 pre general admission tickets are on sale at participating high schools, State Fair of Louisiana and Independence Bowl Foundation box offices.

$15 game day general admission

$50 club level tickets. $50 club level tickets are sold only at the State Fair of Louisiana and Independence Bowl Foundation box offices (free food and non alcoholic beverages included).
