Expenses Related to Smoking Are Lowest in Louisiana

As a dirty smoker myself and I'm well aware of all of the health issues that can occur as a result. From health problems, to higher rates on life insurance and the actual cost of cigarettes, smoking is expensive. And it's not that I haven't tried to quit. I have... more times than I can count! It's tough... like really tough.

That's why I'm happy to report, that for once, Louisiana ranks well on a list. According to financial website Wallet Hub, smokers in Louisiana spend less than in any other state... and as a past resident of New York, I have to agree. $10 a pack for smokes will really make you take a second look at your habit.

Louisiana Radio Network reports that the total cost over a lifetime in Louisiana will cost  you $1.2 million. Annually, it'll cost you around $24K. I think it's time to try to quit again.
