Lauren Silberman's NFL tryout lasted all of two kicks, and neither went 20 yards.

Silberman became the first woman to compete at national Football League scouting combine on Sunday, but left the New York Jets' practice field after re-injuring her quadriceps. She attempted two kickoffs, the first going 19 and the second about 13. She then limped to the sidline and asked to see a trainer.

After being examined by medical staff for about a half hour Silberman headed to the locker room. She later told reporters that the NFL had given her 'a great opportunity'.

A former club soccer player at Wisconsin, Silberman said she suffered the leg injury while preparing for the tryout last week.

Silberman said, 'it's too bad that this happened,' and she looks forward to trying to kick again in the future, but, she added, `it's not up to me. It's up to the scouts.'
