Protesters shut down Interstate 70 between Ferguson, Missouri and St. Louis during rush hour Monday evening.

The angry crowd, marking the one-year anniversary of the shooting death of Michael Brown blocked the highway with home-made barriers, then linked arm-in-arm across the highway.

But one motorist broke through the line of people, even as protesters swarmed around his vehicle trying to stop him, a number of them pounding on the hood of his SUV.
