First Baptist Church Shreveport ‘Gives Back’ To Our First Responders With ‘Service Saturday’ [PICS]

There's nothing like the feeling that you get when "giving back."

The fine folks at the Shreveport Police Department, Shreveport Fire Department, Sheriff's Office, EMS and all of the other First Responders put their lives on the line each day to protect and serve the people in our community. And sometimes it's nice for them to know that they truly are appreciated.

First Baptist Church Shreveport participated in Service Saturday (led by Children's minister, Meredith Hanna and Minister of Family Life and Missions, Ronney Joe Webb) which gathered church members together to collect and distribute lots of yummy goodies as way to say "Thank you" from the people in our community. In fact, my girls and I had a great time visiting the Shreveport Police Department Patrol Desk and seeing the smiles on the officer's faces when they knew they were going to be enjoying some delicious treats.

What a great way to involve families and children and make the statement that it's always nice to "give back."
