The family of former LSU broadcaster Jim Hawthorne says that they have not spoken to him since Saturday night.

Hawthorne's house did take in water during the recent flood and since then, his family does not know of his whereabouts.

LSU sports information director Michael Bonnette sent out an all-call to media members for help in finding Hawthorne on Sunday afternoon.

Reports say that he has his cell service with AT&T. We should note that we have seen many reports from people saying they too have no service after the flood. Let's hope that's the case here.

We will continue to follow this developing story.

UPDATE: Hawthorne reportedly has made contact with former colleagues and an effort is underway to get to him. LSU now confirms that Hawthorne is safe and has been rescued from home, that was flooding.
