Is Shreveport's abandoned General Motors plant getting passed over for millions of dollars of economic impact? Former Shreveport Mayor Cedric Glover thinks so.
Glover tells KEEL News Land Rover had an interest in the old GM plant, but Stuart Lichter, who is managing the lease on the building, could not come to a deal.

Glover says: "I think that rather than come up with a deal that would have been workable for Land Rover and extremely profitable for Lichter and IRG, they sought another course and requested terms that Land Rover was not willing to accept.

The Land Rover deal is not completely dead. The company is still looking for options for a U.S. plant. We asked Glover if the Elio three-wheeled car will ever be made at the local plant....he told us the chance of that happening is "extremely remote".
