St. Timothy Catholic Church in Chantilly, Virgina is looking ban Girl Scouts and the wearing of girl scout uniforms at the church or its adjoining school.

You would think that since the Girl Scouts have the lock on yummy cookies no one could find them anything but wholesome. Appearently, cookies weren't enough to sway the diocese decision.

The church's decision is based on  the Girl Scouts connection to Planned Parenthood through the World Association of Girl Guides and Girl Scouts and it's message being so far from that of the church.

I will admit that if you look at the situation that way, the ideology makes a good bit of sense. A lot more sense that Caddo Commissioner Michael Williams ban on pajamas in public.
