Give for Good, a yearly event put on by the Community Foundation, is in it's fourth year and this year's donations were record breaking!

Give for Good Day 2017 was Tuesday, May 2nd and for the uninitiated, it's a 24 hour online fundraising drive that benefits a group of 172 local non-profit organizations. This year's drive was able to raise $1.66 MILLION in one single day. That is incredible when you think about it! Especially during a time when donations are hard to come by!

According to the folks at the Community Foundation, 67% of donors were first time donors to a specific non-profit. That means people are recognizing what organizations are doing to make this a great place to live. Hats off to you Shreveport/Bossier City, northwest Louisiana certainly flexed it's muscle when it comes to showing how much we care about our community!
