GM Says It Will Bring Back The El Camino

Well, maybe...

You probably remember the El Camino, right? Maybe your husband had one? It was the half car, half truck from the 1970's through the 80's.

Believe it or not, there is actually quite a fan base! And they've been trying to revive it for quite some time.

It seems that a blogger, Ray Wert, at Jalopnkik may be close to making it happen.

Wert sent out a tweet asking readers to tell General Motors Marketing Officer Joel Ewanick that they wanted the El Camino to make a comeback... And they got a response!

Ewanick sent a reply saying, "well, we need you and 100,000 more of your friends.”

I was never much of an El Camino fan. But, what do you think... Is the El Camino worth bring back? Or is it one of the reasons GM got into so much financial trouble? If it were made again, would you actually buy one?
