Governor Outlines More Cuts in Attempt to Balance the Budget [VIDEO]

Governor John Bel Edwards is presenting his new budget package to the House Appropriations Committee in Baton Rouge. You can watch the presentation right here.

The State is facing a budget deficit of 750 million dollars for the fiscal year that begins July 1. Edwards says this will mean more cuts to state government. Edwards says he and Administration Commissioner Jay Dardenne have been working to put together 792 million in cuts. But he says we do need to look for ways to bring in more money to restore services to residents of Louisiana.
