Great Day At Local Hospitals For Operation Santa Claus
I had a wonderful time at Shriner’s Hospital and Sutton Children’s Hospital bringing toys and smiles to children from all over the world.
I joined with local police officers, firefighers, and Bossier Parish Deputies to make deliveries for Operation Santa Claus. It is our Barney Cannon Smile run and we stopped off at Shriner’s Hospital and Sutton Children’s Hospital
I can’t even imagine having one of my boys in the hospital during the holidays. We bring each child in these hospitals a toy. But it is so much more than that. The youngsters love seeing the firetruck, the police motorcycle and the officers and the firefighters. Santa came with us this year and that was a special treat for the kids. My hope is that we brought a little joy to the kiddos during a really traumatic time in their lives. I also hope today gives the parents a chance to take a break from the monotony and see a smile on their child’s face. I pray for them all this time of year. God Bless!
