Shreveport State Representative Cedric Glover goes before the Senate Local and Municipal Affairs Committee to make his case for HB 667. The measure would change the makeup of the Shreveport Redevelopment Authority. Glover's bill would also give the panel the authority to call elections to raise taxes in Shreveport.

Here is Glover's remarks before the Senate Committee:

Glover argues that Shreveport should have a Redevelopment Authority that has "capability and capacity to be able to effectively address those issues and challenges of blight the way our sister cities across the state can at this point."
