The Reviews are in for TLC’s ‘Here Comes Honey Boo Boo’… What Do You Think? [POLL]

The surprising breakout star from Toddlers & Tiaras six-year-old Alana “Honey Boo-Boo Child” Thompson’s new show premiered last night on TLC.I haven’t built myself up enough to watch “Here Comes Honey Boo-Boo yet, but from the promos I’ve watched it seems like TLC should change its name to ULC; “The “Unlearning Channel.”
Brian Lowery of Variety called out not only the show, but general type programming that TLC is focusing on, “One suspects historians will not look fondly on a period that saw children thrust into the media glare in this fashion, but TLC can derive some comfort from knowing its programming continues a long tradition of carnival barkers and sideshow attractions, albeit calibrated to a YouTube-friendly digital age.”
Oh and of course the Twittersphere had to chime in about the show.
