The KCS Holiday Express is a festively-decorated, six-car train that brings Santa and his elves to communities throughout the country at this time every year. The last time it was here, it was in Festival Plaza as part of a big Christmas gala there. Its most recognizable feature is "Rudy," the smiling tank car, but there's also a flatcar carrying Santa's sleigh, reindeer, and a miniature village; a ginger bread boxcar;  the elves' workshop; the reindeer stable; and a little red caboose.  The train will pull into the KCS Shreveport yard on North Lakeshore Drive at 4 o'clock this afternoon and will be there for a few hours before heading off to its next destination.  It won't cost you anything to check it out.  Just take North Lakeshore Drive off Highway 173, go under the railroad bridge, and turn in at gate 5 on your right.
