Holly Hill Equestrian Center in Benton, LA is a gorgeous facility owned by Dr. Bobby and Tracy Hewlett and over the weekend I had the honor of announcing for the Holly Hill Fall 2017 Horse Trials.

The first horse trial at Holly Hill took place in 1996 and they haven't looked back since, hosting the event in both the spring and fall. That's 21 years of eventers from around the nation coming to Benton, twice annually, to experience the beautiful Louisiana country side!

The event consists of three phases over two days, with horse and rider competing in dressage, cross country and show jumping. If you're trying to picture it in your mind, think of the three phases you see our American equestrian team compete in at the Olympics and you've got it!

In fact, we saw several '4 star' riders compete this weekend at Holly Hill, names you just might be hearing in Tokyo at the 2020 Summer Olympic Games!

Here's a big thank you to '4 star' photographer Ann McKnight Switalski! She's a fellow rider and was on hand to shoot some photos at the event this weekend and they're absolutely beautiful! Many thanks to you Ann for allowing us to share your incredible photos! After all, I was in my little announcers booth all weekend!
