Hometown Sailors Featured During Shreveport-Bossier Navy Week

As Shreveport-Bossier prepares for Navy Week, we honor some of our hometown heroes.

Meet Boatswain's Mate 3rd Class Caleb Armstrong from Shreveport. In the photo, he's practicing color guard rifle drill for the change of command ceremony in the hangar bay aboard the forward-deployed amphibious assault ship USS Bonhomme Richard.

Bonhomme Richard is the lead ship of the Bonhomme Richard Amphibious Ready Group and, along with the embarked 31st Marine Expeditionary Unit, is currently conducting a certification exercise.

Navy Week comes to Shreveport-Bossier April 27-May 3, 2015.
