You're phone rang, you answered it and heard, "You qualify for a free cruise!" Because of those six little words you heard, you could be entitled to a cash payment of up to $900 as part of a settlement of a class action lawsuit.

Robocalls are among the biggest complaints from cell phone users because these calls usually come at the most inappropriate time and are very annoying. Thanks to a class action lawsuit that was filed by Philip Charvat, you could be entitled to a cash refund because of these unwanted calls. The suit filed against Resort Marketing Group states that the company violated the Telephone Consumer Protection Act when the robocalls went out to cell and land line users offering free cruises from Royal Caribbean Cruises, Carnival Cruises and other cruise lines according to Top Class Actions.

As a settlement from this case, you could be entitled of a cash payment up to $900 for calls made by this company between 2009 and 2014. If your phone received a robocall from this company soliciting these cruise lines you could be eligible for a $300 per call settlement and up to $900 for each phone line! To see if you are eligible, simply check the settlement website and enter your phone number to see if your number qualifies. The deadline to filing a claim is November 3rd.

Since I'm constantly getting robocalls on my cell phone, I took a quick 15 seconds and entered my phone number and unfortunately it wasn't eligible for settlement.  I tried my wife's cell phone with the same results, but when I entered our home phone number (yes, we still have a landline) it qualified! I filled out a couple of lines of information and once the case goes to the final court date, we'll see how much I get back once the lawyers are all paid!

Who knows, you could be entitled to some money too!
