Hurricane Matthew is moving across the Bahamas this morning and headed for South Florida. Jason Hansford with the National Weather Service in Shreveport tells KEEL News the storm is headed toward Palm Beach, Florida. It is packing winds of 125 MPH.

Crews from Texas have already arrived in our area headed for Florida. They stayed overnight in Shreveport and will be headed out today for the long drive to the East Coast.

Emergency Preparedness leaders say they are worried this storm could cause extensive damage in heavily populated areas in Florida.
