Ashton Kutcher has always been one of those actors I thought was hot, but it's really the quirkiness that I like the best.

Ashton Kutcher started out as a model. He was discovered by a talent scout while he was in college. His first big modeling job was for Calvin Klein. But he quickly started catching the eye of the hollywood types and in 1998, Kutcher landed the role of Kelso on "That '70s Show".

Early Life

He was born in Cedar Rapids, Iowa in 1978. He was born just a few minutes ahead of fraternal twin brother, Michael. His brother had to undergo emergency heart transplant surgery after his heart was badly damaged by a virus.

"If I could give him my heart so that he could live, I would have," Kutcher later told People magazine.

Ashton did like to party. He was even arrested for breaking into his school in his senior year. While in college, he won the Fresh Faces of Iowa modeling contest in 1997. This took him to New York City, where he signed with a modeling agency.

Not only did he land the Calvin Klein gig, but he also made money by posing for pictures for the Abercrombie & Fitch catalog. During this time, he dated actress January Jones who went on to star in "Mad Men".

Big Break: 'That '70s Show'

In the spring of 1998, Ashton Kutcher landed his breakthrough role on the popular retro sitcom That '70s Show. Mila Kunis played his on-again, off-again on-screen girlfriend (they are an item now).

He started landing movie roles while working on the TV show. He appeared in several films including "Reindeer Games" with Ben Affleck. His first leading role was as a wacky stoner in "Dude, Where's My Car?" At about the same time, he was named one of People magazine's "50 Most Beautiful People."

In 2003,he started dated a member of the "brat pack," Demi Moore. The age difference (she's 15 years old) caused a lot of buzz in Hollywood. They got married in 2005, but have since split up.

Recent Work

He spent some time here in Shreveport while filming "The Guardian" with Kevin Costner. Kutcher played a rescue swimmer for the Coast Guard. He's one of the stars who has embraced the social media and in 2009, he made history by having the first Twitter account to attract 1 million followers.

He stars in the new movie "Jobs" about the life of Steve Jobs. It chronicles Jobs' rise from college dropout into one of the nations most powerful entrepreneurs. I'm looking forward to seeing this movie when it opens on Friday, August 16.
