In modern films, there are certain things we expect nowadays. Lots of effects, crazy stunts, a big budget explosion at the end, and lots and lots of distractions from "the real world."

However, in 1943, there were no big budget explosions, or George Lucas with his Industrial Light and Magic, or safety wires during crazy dance sequences.

This clip comes from the movie "Stormy Weather," and it is a scene in which Cab Calloway leads the orchestra into a frenzied dance sequence with The Nicholas Brothers that Fred Astaire once called "the greatest dance number he had ever seen."

High praise, there. You can watch that amazing dance number below. Word to the wise...if you are going to try to recreate this...you need to stretch first.

A LOT!!!
