Well over a decade after "Everytime" and "Cry Me A River," Britney Spears and Justin Timberlake are now singing a very different tune.

During a recent Most Requested Live Q&A with fans, the Glory pop goddess — who counts JT as an ex, in case you forgot and/or somehow avoided the Internet's weekly Y2K-era nostalgia clickbait pieces up until this very moment — casually suggested she'd love to collaborate with the same man who inspired one of her best and most heartbreaking ballads. (Her love is a mood ring, indeed.)

"Justin Timberlake is very good," she matter-of-factly declared. Totally chill and fine.

The "Can't Stop The Feeling" superstar, in town at the Toronto International Film Festival for the premiere of his Netflix concert documentary, Justin Timberlake + the Tennessee Kids, received the news yesterday (Sept. 13) via an interview with E!'s Marc Malkin on the red carpet. He seemed a bit shook by the news — but open to the idea.

"She did?!" he exclaimed. "...Sure! Absolutely! Absolutely. I have a 17-month-old. I don't get the headline news. I apologize for not being in the know...give us a call."

The two first met on the set of The Mickey Mouse Club in the '90s, and famously dated as Pop's Premiere Couple from 1999 to 2002 ("Pinky and Stinky," as they dorkily called each other) until their highly publicized break-up centered around rumors of infidelity, which led to two classic break-up tracks in both of their catalogs.

Before B and JT split, the couple worked on the track "What It's Like To Be Me" for Britney's 2001 album, Britney. "I thought that it was awkward at first, because I was nervous recording with him doing my vocals...but then I just totally forgot that he was my boyfriend...I got the best vocals I've ever done," she told MTV Latin America at the time.

Is "What It's Like To Be Me Now In The Year 2016" coming? Will they sing about being a "very boring" mom and dad now? Time truly heals all wounds.

And, fine, just for the nostalgia...
