Lady Gaga Changes National Anthem: O’er the Land of the Free and the Home of the Gay

Lady Gaga says America is now 'the land of the free and the home of the gay'! The singer altered the Star Spangled Banner to fit the mood of New York City’s gay pride celebrations Friday after the Supreme Court ruling that struck down the federal Defense of Marriage Act.

'And the rockets’ red glare, the bombs bursting in air, gave proof through the night that our flag was still there,' Gaga sang, waving a rainbow flag. 'Oh, say does that star-spangled banner of pride yet wave,' Gaga belted out as the crowd roared,  'Over the land of the free, and the home of the gay.'
