Lady Gaga only received her driver’s license a few weeks ago, but the “Born This Way” singer is already learning the rules of the road the hard way: The Highway Unicorn was pulled over while driving her cherry red Ford F-150 SVT Lightning pickup truck (sorry, but the P***y Wagon from her "Telephone" video must be in the garage) along the sunny coast of Malibu on Friday, July 15.

In paparazzi photos captured by TMZ, you can see the pop star cordially chatting up the sheriff who pulled her over while handing over her paperwork.

On Saturday (July 16), Mother Monster clarified her minor offense by revealing she was flagged down for not having her license plates on the vehicle.

“Ya I got pulled over,” she wrote on Twitter. “Big deal! I just haven’t received plates yet for my new pickup. ¯_(ツ)_/¯”

Later, in another tweet the singer responded to a fan asking why her other vehicle, a blue Chevy Chevelle SS, was towed back on July 6. Gaga revealed that the car was simply leaking transmission fluid.

On July 1, Gaga shared on Instagram that, at the age of 30, she finally passed her driving exam at the DMZ and received her license. Now that she's had the experience of getting pulled over for the first time, it's likely everything will be smooth sailing driving from now on.
