In every single movie - and there have been quite a few - about the earth's impending doom from a rapidly approaching meteor, there's a scene with the President and his top advisors discussing the coming disaster and options for the planet's salvation. In other words, they always seem to know it's coming. Yet world leaders. scientists, et al,  are all expressing surprise at the meteors that hit Russia last week. Could it be they were all really in the dark? Or is it worse...that there's no real life Bruce Willis waiting in the wings? But if nobody knew...how is it there seem to be so many videos of the event, with more emerging daily?
