This morning, law enforcement agencies in Caddo and Bossier Parishes ran the Special Olympics Louisiana torch from their respective locations to downtown Shreveport.

These men and women participate each year to show their support and raise funds to send our local athletes to the Summer Games. Those will be held May 21-24 in Hammond, Louisiana.

Once they left the Caddo Courthouse, they made the run to the Relay Station. They'll head south from there next Tuesday morning, passing the torch off to other law enforcement agencies along the way. The torch will eventually end up in Hammond just in time for the start of the games.
