I had the pleasure last week to be the emcee at the annual 'Campaign Kick Off' dinner for The United Way of Northwest Louisiana. I met a number of very impressive folks that evening (CEO Dr. Bruce Wilson among them), but none more so than a group of men called 'Lifted In Faith', a group of local body builders who spread the Word of Jesus Christ while performing amazing feats of physical strength.

I'd never seen a man tear a license plate in half like it was a piece of paper, but that's what 'Lifted In Faith' member Mike Masura did, and that was only one of the unbelievable things he and partner Keith Nelson did on stage that night at Sam's Town. Messrs. Masura and Nelson also tore phone books in half, ripped an entire deck of cards down the middle, broke baseball bats over their legs (metal and wood, one of each), and bent steel poles into loops.

'Lifted In Faith' was begun in 2010 by Brad Hornback, who says he was, 'Moved by The Lord to spread His Word, using the gifts He gave me.'

Since then he and 'Lifted' team members have traveled the world preaching and amazing thousands with their abilities. 'But we're only getting started', says Masura. 'In April we'll be traveling to Kenya to minister to do prison ministry. But there's so much more to do.'
